TANNER ENGLISH NABS THIRD WIN OF '21 AT CLARKSVILLE!

(April 11, 2021) In a rain-soaked weekend that saw Plan A go out the window when the doubleheader at Lucas Oil (MO) Speedway was canceled, Tanner English made the most of things by picking up another feature win and an additional runner-up effort! On Saturday, April 10 at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee, Tanner laid down the second fastest lap overall in DIRTcar Super Late Model qualifying and later started the 20-lap feature from the outside of the front row. The Benton, Kentucky ace then led the second half of the contest to pocket the $1,500 payday for his third triumph of 2021 over David Seibers, Richard Frost, Corey Posey, and Larry Greer!

At Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Illinois on Friday evening, April 9, the Riggs Motorsports team was in the pit area to do battle for a $3,000 top prize. Tanner clicked off the fastest lap overall during DIRTcar Racing qualifying prior to nabbing a heat race victory. In the 30-lapper, Tanner stayed close to eventual winner Brian Shirley early in the distance before setting for a runner-up performance. ENGLISH FOURTH IN ILLINI 100 OPENER AT FARMER CITY

(April 4, 2021) Tanner English was the lone Riggs Motorsports driver in competition over the April 2-3 weekend, as the #81e team headed to Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois for the lucrative 'Illini 100' weekend. The World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series sanctioned the doubleheader weekend and over 40 cars were in the pit area for both events. On Friday night in the $6,000 to win opener, Tanner clicked off the ninth fastest lap in Group B during qualifying before grabbing the third transfer spot through his heat race. At the 1/4-mile bullring on Saturday evening, the 'Illini 100' weekend wrapped up in a big way, as a whopping $20,000 was on the line. Tanner knocked down the sixth quickest time in Group B during qualifying and once again placed third in his stacked heat race. He then started the 75-lap headliner from the outside of the sixth row, but with rougher track conditions, Tanner eventually wound up twenty-fifth in the final finishing order. SECOND WIN OF 2021 FOR ENGLISH COMES AT CLARKSVILLE!

(March 29, 2021) Tanner English, of Benton, Kentucky, picked up the second victory of his young 2021 racing season on Sunday, March 28 in an impromptu stop to Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee! After several special events were wiped out across the region due to heavy weekend rainfall, Tanner wound up at Clarksville and promptly laid down the quickest lap overall during the qualifying session to earn the pole position for the DIRTcar Super Late Model main event. RIGGS LANDS TOP TEN AT BRISTOL; ENGLISH BACK ON LOLMDS TOUR

(March 22, 2021) It was a busy weekend for Riggs Motorsports on March 19-21, as Jason Riggs and Tanner English went in different directions to do battle in marquee events in the states of Tennessee, Indiana, and Ohio. Jason headed to the dirt-covered Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee for the inaugural running of the 'Bristol Dirt Nationals.' In Friday's $10,000 to win weekend opener, Jason grabbed the fourth transfer spot through his stacked heat race before driving past six competitors during the 25-lap feature to land in the ninth finishing position. The lucrative weekend at the high-banked oval then wrapped up with a $50,000 to win grand finale on Saturday, but Jason narrowly missed out on transferring into the 40-lap spectacular after running fifth in both his heat race and his B-Main. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season also heated back up on March 20-21 with a doubleheader weekend at Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana and Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio. Following the postponement of Saturday's $15,000 to win 'Indiana Icebreaker' at Brownstown due to rough track conditions, the #81e team was in the pit area on Sunday at Atomic for the annual running of the 'Buckeye Spring 50,' which boasted a $12,000 payday. Tanner posted the tenth fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session before placing second in heat race action. The Benton, Kentucky ace then started seventh on the grid in the 50-lapper and climbed well up inside of the top five before unfortunately fading late to an eleventh place performance. ENGLISH SETS NEW TRACK RECORD & WINS TOILET BOWL CLASSIC!

(March 14, 2021) For the first time since the completion of their "Speedweeks" back in early February, Tanner English and Riggs Motorsports headed back to the track over the March 12-13 weekend and landed in victory lane for the first time in 2021 on Saturday evening at Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee! After the first night of the 17th Annual 'Tuckasee Toilet Bowl Classic' was washed out by persistent rain showers on Friday, Tanner set a New Track Record in DIRTcar Super Late Model qualifying on Saturday by laying down a fast lap of 11.581 seconds. Teammate Jack Riggs also unloaded his #81j Crate Late Model at Clarksville to vie for the $1,000 top prize on Saturday night. WINTER NATIONALS NIGHTLY RESULTS FROM OCALA

(February 2, 2021) Another $10,000 top prize was up for grabs at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida tonight in the final event for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series during "Speedweeks 2021." Tanner English clicked off the fifth quickest lap in Group A during qualifying before placing second in his heat race. The Benton, Kentucky ace then rolled off from the inside of the third row in the 40-lapper and drove up to the third spot to land on the podium behind only victor Shane Clanton and Bobby Pierce! Tanner leaves the Sunshine State eleventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings.

(February 1, 2021) The two-day 'Winter Nationals' with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at Bubba Raceway Park kicked off earlier tonight on a chilly evening in Ocala, Florida. Tanner English stopped the clock the fourth fastest in Group A during the qualifying session prior to running second in his loaded heat race. After starting the $10,000 to win main event from the inside of the fourth row, Tanner worked hard to stay inside of the top ten in the 40-lap and eventually crossed underneath the checkers in the ninth position.

WINTERNATIONALS NIGHTLY RESULTS FROM EAST BAY

(January 30, 2021) A very long week at East Bay Raceway Park wrapped up tonight in a big way, as the 45th running of the 'Winternationals' concluded at the Gibsonton, Florida facility with a lucrative $15,000 to win program. Tanner English knocked down the fifth quickest lap in Group B during the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series qualifying session prior to running second in heat race action. After starting the 50-lapper from the outside of the fifth row and later getting caught up in a lap 32 incident, Tanner battled back to a twelfth place effort in the grand finale. Jason Riggs closed out the week by finishing eighth in his stacked heat race and third in his B-Main, which was one more spot out of a coveted transfer position.

(January 29, 2021) The penultimate event of the Super Late Model portion of the 'Winternationals' took place earlier this evening at East Bay Raceway Park and a $12,000 winner's check was up for grabs for the 77 competitors at the Gibsonton, Florida oval. Tanner English timed in eighth fastest in Group B during qualifying before placing third in his loaded heat race. Unfortunately, the Benton, Kentucky ace was swept up in a pileup during the 50-lap main event and was scored seventeenth in the final finishing order. Teammate Jason Riggs narrowly missed out on the A-Main after running fourth in both his heat race and his consolation event.

(January 28, 2021) With last night's rain-out and postponement of the 40-lap feature event, a pair of $7,000 paydays were on the line tonight at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. In the regularly-scheduled program, Tanner English placed fourth in his heat race and second in his B-Main before soldiering on to an eleventh place performance in the 40-lapper despite getting caught up in an early pileup. In the rain-postponed show from last night, Tanner picked up a victory in his B-Main and was heading towards a top ten outing in the 40-lap headliner before a hard wreck on the final lap relegated him to a disappointing eighteenth place effort. Jason Riggs was unfortunately not able to transfer into either main event at the "Clay by the Bay" this evening.

(January 27, 2021) Tonight's $7,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series throwdown at East Bay Raceway Park was rained-out during the consolation races and the remainder of the show has been pushed back to Thursday evening - after the regularly scheduled program at the Gibsonton, Florida facility. Before the rain hit, Tanner English had qualified fifth quickest in Group B during the time trial session and had placed fourth in his stacked heat race. Teammate Jason Riggs finished eighth in his heat race and sixth in his B-Main, which escaped the wrath of Mother Nature.

(January 26, 2021) Round two of the 'Winternationals' at East Bay Raceway Park took place earlier this evening and a standout 74 car field was in the pit area for the $5,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event. Tanner English clicked off the fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session and once again picked up a victory in his heat race. After starting the 30-lapper from the pole position, Tanner ran amongst the top five early in the distance before crossing underneath the checkers in the sixth spot behind only race winner Tyler Erb, Brandon Overton, Brian Shirley, Josh Richards, and Kyle Bronson. Jason Riggs, on the other hand, qualified twentieth quickest in Group B and placed seventh in his heat race before scratching for the rest of the night.

(January 25, 2021) The Riggs Motorsports team was back in racing action tonight in the first round of the 45th Annual 'Winternationals' at East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Florida. A whopping 76 competitors signed in to the "Clay by the Bay" to do battle for the $5,000 winner's check in the first of six straight nights of racing in the Tampa area. Tanner English timed in third fastest in Group B during qualifying and secured an impressive heat race triumph before winding up eighth at the checkered flag of the 30-lap sprint. Teammate Jason Riggs made his 2021 debut, but unfortunately just missed out on the feature event after placing fourth in his heat race, fifth in his B-Main, and third in the Strawberry Dash for non-qualifiers.

WINTER NATIONALS NIGHTLY RESULTS FROM ALL-TECH

(January 23, 2021) Following last night's rain-out at All-Tech Raceway, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season got underway earlier this evening at the Ellisville, Florida facility. A star-studded 57 car field converged at the northern Florida oval to do battle for a $15,000 paycheck in the series lid lifter. Tanner English was the lone Riggs Motorsports driver to enter the event and qualified ninth fastest in Group B prior to running fifth in both his heat race and his B-Main. After relying on a series provisional to gain access into the 50-lap headliner, Tanner was officially paid for a twenty-fourth place showing in his season-opening appearance.

(January 22, 2021) Tonight's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season opener at All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida has been washed out by afternoon rain showers. The $12,000 to win program will not be rescheduled. Tanner English and Riggs Motorsports will now look to kick off their 2021 campaign tomorrow evening at All-Tech, as a $15,000 top prize will be up for grabs in the 'Winter Nationals' weekend finale.
